@KevinCarley3 @ZiaYusufUK Yes, absolutely. In the prison I work at we’ve got pool competitions, bingo nights, prisoners out of their cells for 11 hours a day, phones in cells, TVs, DVD players, games consoles — shall I go on.

Criminals who get a 'life sentence' in Britain don’t actually spend the rest of their life in jail.

They can be out after just 15 years.

Only around 70 people are serving 'whole-life orders', the only sentence that truly means life.

There are obviously far more than 70 people deserving of this fate.

Take Pawel Relowicz, then 24.

He raped and murdered 21-year-old university student Libby Squire in 2019.

Her body was found in the estuary.

He received 'life imprisonment' with a minimum term of 27 years.

Or Amere Singh Dhaliwal, leader of a grooming gang in Huddersfield.

He was found guilty of 22 rapes involving 11 girls, some as young as 11 years old.

His 'life sentence' had a minimum term of just 18 years.

Do you feel safe knowing this?

Do you feel justice has been served to the victims?

We cannot go on like this.

Reform will deport all foreign national offenders, including to countries like El Salvador.

We will use the space to keep violent criminals where they belong: behind bars.

@WanderingIan @sophielouisecc Just because the distance is closed doesn’t mean you can’t spray them. And if you’re faced with an attacker, why wouldn’t you want the option? Even if you spray them and they keep coming, you’re still in the same situation

@WanderingIan @sophielouisecc I’m a Use of Force instructor, and while police and prison staff are “trained” to use pepper spray, it’s mostly a formality. If I handed you a can of deodorant and said, “Spray me in the face,” would you need training to do it?

@GlamRatchet This means nothing. It literally says 10% don’t reoffend — what about the other 90%? Did you even read that before you posted it off Google? And that’s just the ones who actually go through these programs. What about the ones who refuse or don’t bother with them at all?
