@butNHS The WINNING STORY in the NHS Retirement Fellowship short story competition was entitled ‘The Undisputed Unsung Hero of the NHS’. It captures the true spirit of what the NHS is all about. To read - follow the link in the adjacent profile image #NHS
Verdict was luckily no damage to my new hip joint but small fracture line in pelvic bone, explaining sudden increase in pain. Well done to all staff involved for coordinating and working together to get patients seen to! @butNHS#BigUpTheNHS 2
@mancunianmedic I was there 10 years ago so know exactly how you feel.
At that time the pension was being eroded rapidly I had to retire at 60 or lose huge chunks of it.
Best thing I ever did.
10 years of retirement has been amazing. I am fitter now than I ever was and have never looked back.
@sebastiansalek@TheGadfly88 I’m experiencing the greatness of the NHS as we speak! I work for it as well as being treated as an inpatient right now, by EXCELLENT staff with high levels of training and students included. @butNHS#BigUpTheNHS
Healthcare should NEVER be for profit!
This is worth a look. My old colleague Hugh Rayner talking about writing clinic letters directly to patients with copies to the GP.

"I really want you to focus on the fact that there are children today, alive, because of what you did yesterday"
Keir Starmer thanks the emergency service workers who responded to the Southport stabbings
Thank you to all of our emergency service workers 🙏
We didn't have parties to "boost morale".
We didn't have quiz nights.
We didn't have champagne.
We watched our colleagues die.
We watched the bodies pile high in their thousands.
These lying, cheating, self-serving charlatans need to be flung out of office.
Use your vote. Vote.
🚨BREAKING NOW
Private firms have made £6.7 billion in profits from NHS contracts since January 2012.
*That is £10 million a week.*
No profit should be taken out of the NHS. #EndNHSPrivatisation

I worry it may be another example of government money being siphoned into business without a viable long term benefit - as with PPE etc.
Are there any investigative journalists out there who would like to have a look at how the money is flowing?
Please RT.
BRSK are currently installing giant telegraph poles in my street despite strong local opposition. The area is already well provided with fibre connections.
It cannot make sense in terms of long term business planning.
Is anyone else having similar problems?
It is a scandal that for the last 75 years we have had a fantastic National Health Service but not a viable National Social Care Service.
At last we have a government that is trying to address this anomoly - by destroying the NHS.

Public satisfaction with #NHS is at an all-time low, a deliberate political policy to push people into the arms of private healthcare. In fact, NHS activity & productivity is pretty good, given the resources it has. But it simply doesn’t have the resources to keep up with demand.
The vultures are circling. This in prime position on Btoad Street in Birmingham. Not cheap so they must expect a high conversion rate for the few junior docs who see it.
