this was so sweet. Stephen Colbert just ended his final episode of The Late Show while singing "Hello, Goodbye" with Paul McCartney. his family and the show's crew then joined them on stage before Paul turned off the lights to the Ed Sullivan Theater
@teenagekicks937 I have been to 60 different concerts over the past 3 years, mostly pit, and the HSLOT show was the ONLY show where everyone simultaneously reached their phones up above their heads as high as they possibly could. It was horrendous. Took me 5mins to even see the guy 😭😂.
@jennieAYLY28@forestlove625 Almost every concert I have been to from stadiums through to tiny venues I have been able to see the artist for 90%+ of the show (unless restricted view tix). Ironically HSLOT the only show I couldn't 😂 so can only imagine this one.
"It's actually good that I paid $300 to not be able to see him because it forced me to live in the moment" is going to live in my head rent free for the rest of my life I fear.
It's a poetic commentary on the state of a world in late-stage capitalism honestly.
@tennantslaugh Good stage design means everyone should be able to see the performer for the majority of the show. Simple. The things I have read in the last 24hrs defending the staging decisions is wild! Apparently it is 'very nice of him' and 'commendable' that he staged it for the nosebleeds.
@tennantslaugh It is why usually side seats are sold 'restricted view' because you can't see the back of the stage (where there are usually visuals) for eg. But to sell the most expensive tickets and then restrict THAT view is absurd.
Noah Kahan presales have been crazy with hideous queue number luck. Could not cart GA during all 3 presales and in a panic nabbed restricted view seats for Saturday (great seats across the aisle from the exxy $400 ones). But randomly carted 3 GA at 5pm for the Monday.
