15 years since my last test flight for @usairforce. Yesterday, my first test flight for @USNavy. 2 sorties/8 hr in @CivilAirPatrol Cessna 182T off Kauai. 1) I long for the La-Z-Boy-esque comfort of the F-16D backseat, 2) @USNavy flight test missions have much better scenery.
@CcibChris Just very lucky to say I’ve gotten to fly (in the back seat) of 4 of these, F-104G (thanks NASA), F-4, F-15B/D and F-16B/D. And worked the OT&E programs for the F-22 and F-35.
@natehale@DougCarlisle@SGTWipper1Each I used to fly in the family model with a pilot whose callsign was Kraken. He must have been just “small” enough to fit in the Viper. I’m sure we were out of limits for the fwd cg location when we flew together. 😂
@superpilotish@uslugg67@SGTWipper1Each Not in the viper, not enough cranium room to actually stand on the seat like you can in an F-4 or F-15. Gotta sit on the top step, spin and put your feet in first, then hoist your butt into place. Like the man said, you wear this jet.
@redpilldispensr In the Civil Air Patrol we fly this type of parallel pattern on Search and Rescue missions when we have a general idea where to look but not exactly where.
@BoomFlavacol@FFHitman Sleeper does the same. I got anxious and moved Marv out of ir and put him on my bench which made me go 1 over the roster limit, but now I can’t put him back in ir. I forgot my golden rule. If you don’t need to immediately move that guy, then don’t.
@AshySlasheeDB A very nice individual who invited his enemies to tea and crumpets to discuss their differences and definitely not anything to do with impaling them.
@InfantryPilot Can’t wait for the annual Twitter/X freakout when a winter storm warning goes up for Hawaii and 90% of the planet thinks we actually living out The Day After Tomorrow. It’s so entertaining.
@slewis3775@MikeClayNFL “his” is the operative word in @MikeClayNFL analysis as in “his last 4 games” not “the last 4 games.” Can’t really analyze a player’s performance in a game they didn’t play.
