Welcome back Year 4! It was lovely to see lots of smiling faces and hearing lovely tales of their summer holidays.

Today, we spoke about how the England Team would be feeling and why. We then discussed times we have felt similar and words of encouragement that could help.

We finished by writing little notes to the players that we are going to post to them.

In gymnastics today, we practised mirror and matching techniques. The children came up with very interesting actions and balances!!

Today, we explored our own still life compositions, using Paul Cezanne’s work as our inspiration.

The children took real care in selecting what they’d like to use and how they wanted their composition to look.

These will be used to create their own final pieces.

In science today, we created our own water cycle bags!

We are going to be monitoring how they change over time and discuss the processes of evaporation and condensation.

Today in our science lesson, we were experimenting with changing states by cooling!

We made our own ice cream out of milkshake! 🥛

The children were more than happy to taste test!!

Today we were learning all about tsunamis.

The children went in to small groups to record each other as news reporters recounting the famous Japanese Tsunami of 2011.

Some of them will record using our new blue screen this week! Stay tuned! 🤩
