biggest bull trap in the world right chat???
in reality, it’s important to remember that markets are forward looking and the actual health of the economy isn’t always the best indicator when trading financial
that being said, i can see a scenario where the effects of this most recent global event leads to effects later on in the year
Let's talk about the FUD going around our WLFI Markets lending position.
It's wrong. Here's what's actually happening — and why the real story is a lot more interesting.
@KobeissiLetter if this is true then i'm genuinely trying to figure out what the US and Israel gains from this
seems hard to believe that they will agree to these terms
expected
China and Russia benefit immensely from this situation
the US is probably pressured more into toppling the regime due to this
if Iran ends up controlling the Hormuz after this conflict then the US would have take 2 major strategic losses
BREAKING: China and Russia have vetoed the Bahraini UN Security Council resolution on protecting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, per Reuters.
The resolution was the only formal international mechanism on the table to address Hormuz access. Bahrain, host of the US Fifth Fleet, has been pushing it since the war began.
The diplomatic track on Hormuz is now formally dead, with 8 hours left on Trump's deadline.
ive seen this “it feels like Liberation Day setup” post so many times over the past 3 weeks
Trump tariffs and global oil shocks are just two entirely different scenarios
tariffs were controlled solely by Trump’s decisions where the US had significant leverage over trading partners
this conflict has multiple parties with different strategic goals and varying levels of leverage over each other and the global economy
you can’t TACO out of this and return to the status quo
Once again, if both the demand and the supply for something is very inelastic in the short term and you suddenly cut ~15% of supplies, the price will go to insane levels in relatively short order.
This will continue until either Hormuz is reopened no matter how exactly or it reaches such a level that it triggers a recession that will "solve" the problem by destroying enough demand.
There is nothing mysterious or unexpected about it and the only reason anyone is surprised by this is because people have memed themselves into believing that basic economics was a panican conspiracy.
what Iran decides to do the American pilot if they catch him will be really telling about the current regime’s attitude towards the US
if local populace finds him first, how he is treated will also tell us a lot about the perspective the Iranian people hold against Americans
@connorking solid write up Connor
IR is crypto’s biggest weakness. it’s great to be able to visualize the protocols who are taking the first steps to changing the industry
6 vessels have moved through the Straight of Hormuz in the span of a day according to this report
just for reference pre-war marine vessel traffic was roughly 100+ a day
coming up on week 6 of closure. this is just absolutely tragic for the global economy
More vessels are moving through the Strait of Hormuz today in what looks like the strongest traffic since the war began.
That may have been the clearest sign yet this U.S.-Iran conflict was closer to the end than the beginning.
