Check out this really cool soil texture lab! Students got their hands dirty with a soil texture test. Then we compared our results to this erosion test to help verify our texture results! #TeachAg

Thanksgiving activity is going awesome! Kids have to make a menu and placement for what thanksgiving dinner looks like for them! Then we talk about where that food comes from in the country and how it is produced! #TeachAg #KnowWhereYourFoodComesFrom

In my agriculture explorations class, we learned about different forest management strategies to see which is best at preventing catastrophic wildfires! After the burn, students calculated the percentage burned and intensity of the fire to compare the results! #TeachAg #Forestry

Students had to create a landscape to observe how water moves through the area. Using food coloring, we added different pollution events to see how all parts of the landscape interact and what pollution will seep through the surface! The paper towels show the results! #TeachAg

There’s no better way to get kids to learn the main structures of plants without taking them outside to actually go find the different structures! But then take a quick detour to talk about how cool wood frogs are! #TeachAg

In our sustainability in agriculture unit, my students had to take water bottles and create a sustainable planter. Their ideas were so cool and unique! We were also able to talk about renewable resources too! #Sustainability #TeachAg #MakingLearningFun #STEM

Year 2 of our program and we have over half the school enrolled in our agriculture science classes! When the kids commit, go all in and discover their passions, people notice. And then big things like this happen! We have started construction on our greenhouse!! #TeachAg
