A historic new frontier for India’s space journey!

At 11:30 AM today, Skyroot Aerospace will undertake the maiden orbital launch of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed launch vehicle.

This four-stage rocket is designed to provide rapid and on-demand launch services. This mission highlights the talent, determination and entrepreneurial spirit of our youth. It also shows how our space-sector reforms are unlocking new opportunities for innovation and enterprise.

My best wishes to the entire Skyroot Aerospace team for a successful launch. May Vikram-1 soar high, create history and inspire a generation of innovators.

PM Shri @narendramodi ji will flag off India’s first indigenously developed hydrogen-powered train on the Jind–Sonipat route.

Equipped with a 1200 kW hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system, the 10-coach train emits only water vapour, showcasing India’s commitment to sustainable innovation and self-reliance.

With indigenous hydrogen storage and refuelling infrastructure at Jind, India joins the global leaders advancing green rail technology—driving the vision of #AatmanirbharBharat and a cleaner, net-zero future.

Another landmark decision by the Union Cabinet under the leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji.

Backed by an outlay of ₹62,500 crore, the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS) is expected to drive nearly ₹39 lakh crore in mobile phone production over the next five years.

It will generate around 60,000 direct jobs.

The scheme will also promote Indian brands through design and R&D incentives, strengthening India's position as a global electronics manufacturing hub. 📱

The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Shri @narendramodi ji, has approved the construction of a 43.218-km Link/Connector Corridor connecting NH-31 with the Varanasi Ring Road along the River Varuna.

To be developed by the NHAI under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), the project entails an investment of ₹10,998.32 crore.

Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Shri @narendramodi ji, has approved Semicon 2.0 with an outlay of ₹1,27,500 crore to accelerate the development of India's semiconductor design and manufacturing ecosystem.

Building on the progress of Semicon 1.0, the initiative reaffirms the Government's commitment to positioning India as a global semiconductor hub.

The #IndiaUKFTA, which comes into force today, marks a significant milestone on the journey towards a Viksit Bharat, as envisioned by PM Shri @narendramodi ji.

The agreement is set to unlock immense opportunities for India’s labour-intensive sectors by providing zero-duty market access for 99% of Indian exports, including textiles, leather, engineering goods, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and MSMEs.

A testament to our government’s people-centric diplomacy, the treaty also provides substantial benefits for Indian professionals in the UK while further strengthening the enduring partnership between India and the United Kingdom.
