Been trying out a lot of different decks since LobsterCon, but went back to old reliable. 2-1 with PandeBurst Replenish at the @HexAndCompany#Premodern#premodernmtg#mtg meetup.
Gr Goblins ❌⛽️❌
Terrageddon ⛽️⛽️
Moneyball Black ⛽️⛽️
Went 2-1 with UW Stiflenought at the @HexAndCompany#Premodern#premodernmtg#mtg meetup. Deck could certainly use some work, but it felt more enjoyable than mono blue. Defeated Gr Goblins and The Solution, but lost in 3 to a very good and disciplined Survival Opposition player.
Another week another 2-1 at the @HexAndCompany#Premodern#mtg meetup. Played @joyful_waffle 5c Tog and had an absolute blast… even if my 3rd round opponent cast AK for 3, then 4, then 5.
Defeated Sligh and Mono Black. Lost to Grow with Lightning Angels
I lived long enough to see myself become the villain. Took 4C Devastating Oath for a spin and went 2-1 at the @HexAndCompany weekly #Premodern#PremodernMTG meetup
Defeated GR Survival and Mono Red Ponza, then got destroyed by @fivewithflores on 🦐
12/12, would play it again
Mixed it up tonight and tried out Noughty Hermit. 2-1 at the @HexAndCompany weekly #PremodernMTG#Premodern meetup.
Defeated Esper Tog and GW Oath, but fell in an excellent 3 game set to Landstill.
I like my Replenish like I like my martinis, with a twist. Felt weird playing basic lands, but very much enjoyed how the deck played. 2-1 in the @HexAndCompany weekly #Premodern#PremodernMTG meetup. @fivewithflores got me in the final round in a very nice 3 game set
@sam_white39@HexAndCompany So you have a bit of deckbuilder advantage. Also a much faster clock I think versus classically fair decks. It’s been a blast to play so far, but Moneyball has been far and away my biggest issue.
Was away with the family the last few weeks, but back in the saddle last night for another 2-1 at the @HexAndCompany#Premodern#PremodernMTG weekly meetup with PandeBurst. Deck still feels excellent, but if anyone has a good plan against Moneyball, let me know!
@sam_white39@HexAndCompany At the same time, my Intuitions are significantly better, and are actually game over most of the time (Gigapede sees to that). I also feel like between Opal/Wave/Pande, PandeBurst, or just Burst, people generally don’t know what angle to attack me at. 2/3
@luisneiman@HexAndCompany Dystopia could deal with it. And if you have Opal/Wave to protect, you’re already not losing that game (they can’t deal with that).
