It turns on the guy is an awesome husband and Dad who was grieving the death of a friend that night. He had offered to take the baby but his wife wanted him to have it a little bit easier that night. After seeing the Internet tear him apart, she wrote a blog about what a great man he is. It’s good reflection for how quickly the internet casts judgement off of one clip. By weaponizing the federal government’s vast powers against President Biden’s political opponents, Jack Smith unwittingly made a few things abundantly clear:
(1) the federal government is too big and too powerful, with far too much control over the day-to-day lives of hardworking Americans,
(2) each party now assumes that when it holds the White House, the government will protect its own voters and interests—in part by keeping government officials busy harassing the other side,
(3) while that primal instinct—to reward allies and punish enemies—can be observed in any institution run by humans, it becomes overwhelming with a government this large and powerful, especially where constitutional checks and balances have been weakened, and
(4) it’s time for a constitutional reset: shrink the threat, restore constitutional limits on the federal government’s power (starting with federalism, separation of powers, and the “thou shalt nots” of the Bill of Rights), and put the government back in the business of empowering citizens rather than government itself.
GINA HINOJOSA WANTS YOU TO FORGET HER RECORD ON POLICE. WE HAVE THE RECEIPTS.
In 2020, she defended Austin's City Council when it slashed about $150 million from the police budget, and she complained about the state stepping in to stop it. In 2021, she voted no on HB 1900, which protected local police funding from cities like Austin.
In 2023, she voted no on HB 3, which put an armed security officer in every Texas public school.
For a decade she did nothing to help law enforcement, and she stood with José Garza while Austin's criminals walked.
Now she's running for governor and pretending she backs the blue. She's pro-criminal and anti-cop, and Texas can't afford her.
Since the Iranian Islamic regime seized the US Embassy in 1979, approximately 11,000 Americans have been killed directly or indirectly through proxies from the regime in Iran and other Islamic terrorism such as Al Qaeda, ISIS and Hamas and Hezbollah, both that Iran funds.
Thank God we have a President to finally get justice for 47 years of attacks.
I have had hundreds of meetings and conversations with elected officials, small business owners and private citizens from across WNC to help secure key federal funding to help our communities rebuild. Thus far we have secured over $11 billion, but the work is not done.
I will always fight for our WNC communities, and never abandon you like Roy Cooper.

If we keep electing politicians who hate America and it’s people to represent us, we will no longer be America.
Senator Warnock used to agree with Senate Republicans: members of Congress shouldn’t be allowed to trade stocks.
That’s why Republicans voted for a bill to ban stock trading in Congress.
Yesterday, Warnock, and every other Democrat, voted to let themselves continue profiting off of insider information. Why?
"Where is my third house for standing up and being right?"
I'm not an Eric Weinstein fan, but he's right. Going against the DC narrative carries a massive financial penalty and an even larger opportunity cost.
I know because I've lived on both sides of it.
When I investigated the BP oil rig explosion, I landed on the side of environmental justice and was richly rewarded. When I investigated the U.S. Navy collisions, I landed on the opposite side of the government narrative, and it cost me time and money.
Same me, just how society saw my alignment.
This isn't even political. I wasn't a big Trump supporter during the Navy collisions.
I kept pressing on Navy failures because that's who I am. But one man, or even a small handful, can only do so much.
To incentivize change, you must give the smartest and most talented people a reason to work alongside the agents of change.
After BP came the taste of success: the speaking tours, the Hollywood meetings, the six-figure book deal, the consulting gigs. Without them I could not have extended my impact. I would not have seen results. I would never have known it was possible to fight for institutional change in the Navy and the maritime complex.
And it gets worse. We are making vast progress in shipbuilding, yet the relatively small group of people who pushed for that change are being excluded from appointments and pushed out of the administration as "troublemakers," all while being actively attacked by the left.
All Republicans want solutions that result in change. Many Democrats do too. But the reward structure does not exist for the originators.
It's not a lack of money or rewards. Change is happening, and the second and third rounds of appointees who arrived after the fight was won are being richly rewarded.
The OG change agents are being punished. And this is not just a maritime issue. The controversy surrounding @DataRepublican, @CynicalPublius, @RobManess, @KurtSchlichter and @infantrydort is only the latest example.
If you want serious structural change, the originators must be rewarded. Not for their own sake, but because their reward is what gives others the incentive to become agents of change.
Right now there is some incentive to ride coattails and push change, but little incentive to take real initiative.
We need people like @DataRepublican to be rewarded with a second or third house. Not because she wants another house, but because in a well-functioning society, risk must be tied to reward.
And the Trump admin doesn’t even need to reward DR herself, they can just demand that storied universities and think tanks and war colleges and such reward the change agents fairly with how they already reward defenders of the status quo on the left.

Ken Paxton has spent years taking on fights most politicians wouldn’t touch, and now he’s running for the U.S. Senate on that same record.
Border security, Texas values, America First, and no backing down from Washington.
That’s the case he’s putting in front of Texas voters.
Barack Hussein Obama became a whole lot wealthier while he was president… and don’t even get me started on all the “big guy” allegations surrounding Joe Biden.
