Ever heard of the “tent” near the Chornobyl plant?

A quiet, eerie place where the heart of the reactor — a 12-meter iron giant — was once assembled. The KP-640 crane, with a 700-ton lift capacity, pieced it together like a puzzle. Some say the reactor groaned at night, as if the Zone was warning us.

Now it's empty, rusting… but still feels like it's waiting for something.

Since launch, we’ve been digging into your feedback and aligning it with our own plans and vision for improving and enhancing the gameplay experience. Q1 was all about tackling the big issues — two major updates and multiple hotfixes rolled out, building on last year’s patches.

The Zone is evolving and will continue to. Throughout the year, we will be delivering updates and hotfixes dedicated to making the game better in every aspect. With proper planning, double testing (internal and closed beta for big updates) of all features and fixes, and your feedback, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will become the game we imagined — and you deserve.

To keep things clear and on track, we’re breaking the roadmap down into quarterly updates. Every three months, you’ll get the full scoop on what’s coming. Patch notes will confirm when it’s live in-game.

As always, we welcome you in the comments to share your thoughts and ideas. We follow them closely, as your feedback is one of the pillars that drives the future of the Zone.

After long preparations, stability tests, and analysis of your feedback, we are excited to introduce Patch 1.2 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. This update includes more than 1,700 fixes and is already live on PC and Xbox.

Patch 1.2 brings stability fixes, fixes for main and side quests, enhancements for locations and regions, A-Life improvements, AI shooting accuracy adjustments, cutscenes and localization fixes, and also a new controller ability, shadows from the player's flashlight and much-much-mooooooooooore!

Нарешті ми повернулися з новинами — патч 1.1.4 вже доступний для завантаження на ПК та консолях. Нам знадобився час, щоб оцінити ситуацію та визначити пріоритети наступних кроків. Це перший апдейт цього року, а наступний, великий патч вийде вже скоро.

Сьогоднішнє оновлення виправляє проблеми з компіляцією шейдерів, деякі витоки пам'яті, вильоти та специфічні проблеми з погіршенням продуктивності.

Ми дякуємо за ваші відгуки та підтримку, і продовжуємо працювати над S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2: Heart of Chornobyl та незабаром будемо готові поділитися з вами іншою цікавою інформацією.

❄️ The old door held only by a good word and a stone that propped it up from the inside opened easily. The stalker entered a long-abandoned apartment, the one he had been to dozens of times and returned to as if it were home. In some way, it was his home.

Somehow, one window survived after all these years. He liked to sit with the thrown-off backpack because that was his favorite place. He could see the snow-covered Enerhetyk Palace of Culture on the horizon, illuminated by the moonlight. The snow sparkled and played with different colors, returning his thoughts to the distant past. A familiar song, which became a Christmas hymn far beyond Prypiat, flashed through his mind.

The night started slowly covering the Zone. The Zone that this year changed forever. Has She become different? Perhaps. More dangerous? Of course, She has. Has She become a refuge for hundreds of thousands of new stalkers searching for something of their own? Absolutely. And that was something that pleased his soul the most.

He knew — that night, he would not be alone. And if he had only one wish, he would have wished to be here — among his friends, among his faithful stalkers. And that wish would have been granted.
