A reliable and new indicator for the resumption of the primary task can thus be seen in posterior alpha power asymmetry – independent of the time required for the first action of the main task. For more details, take a look at our paper or feel free to contact us😊

Moreover, it seems that participants have to shift their attention to the primary task already during the processing of a demanding interruption; a process that was indicated by the suppression of posterior alpha power contralateral to the remembered working memory item.

K, let's try this poll thing on twitter... To the #editors out there: I have always wondered, how often do you actually invite the people suggested as reviewers? Feel free to comment, if you find my poll options don't really capture your preferred response. #AcademicChatter
New insights into interruption processing incoming! Very happy to see this one has been accepted after a long journey with lots of interruptions and distractions during the pandemic. Stay tuned for more details on our study to follow soon here on Twitter :)
[1/2] 🚨Job alert: PhD position (75%) 🚨I am looking for a PhD student to work with me on understanding #multisensory attention & working memory! Are you enthusiastic about cognitive #neuroscience, interested in #OpenScience and #EEG research?
@CogNeuroJobs @AcademicEEG
Interested to work with us at @IfADo_info? The department of ergonomics is looking for a Post-Doc in Behavioral Neurobiology. Please feel free to share and retweet and contact me for further information #ScienceJobs#AcademicTwitter
Happy to share that we are re-launching our virtual talk series @IfADo_info: Check out the upcoming line-up of fantastic speakers and save the dates! You can check this website (https://t.co/m3WAG6ub9k) or follow this thread for updates. We'd love you to join us!
Stumbled upon our paper in a recent bestseller by Dr. Volker Busch. Even if it's only two sentences, it's nice to find our work in popular science contexts as well :) #KopfFrei
📢 Job vacancy @IfADo_info ! You are looking for a #PhD position in cognitive neurosience? You are interested in #EEG and #aging research? The new DFG project by Daniel Schneider (@schneiderd85) and Stephan Getzmann aims to investigate the neurocognitive processes ... [1/3]
Tomorrow, i'll be presenting some data on the benefits of congruent visual speech in cocktail-party situations at @teap2021 for older and younger adults (S07.7-LT: Aging 9:15 - 10:15). It's also my first talk at a conference, so I am a little excited 🤓
I am looking forward to exciting discussions at @teap2021 My poster is in Shorts D, under the name: "How to deal with interruptions: attentional shifts between primary and secondary interrupting tasks are reflected in modulations of alpha and theta oscillations in the EEG"!
