.@C0ACHSean joins @BlackmanFtball as defensive backs coach! He comes to The Inferno after being named DC at Franklin Road Academy. He was the Strength Coordinator & DB coach for Ravenwood from 2016-2019
@txhsfbchat Ask the kids what they want to call it (within reason), theyโre the ones that have to remember it, make it something they know/like, not what us coaches have โalways doneโ
@coachkou Easy to lead to confusion defensively, I agree though love the idea, just hard to teach/understand (at the HS level at least) in terms of change of strength, zone drop changes, what man am I matching etc
Proud is an understatement... 2 years ago, when we all came together, everyone went to work just trying to build a successful program. To see @justinbrown_6 sign with @HailStateFB today, after rewriting the @BlackmanFtball record books is one of my favorite days of my career
@CoachTManes Goes for every position imo. DBs only working on press man when you play primarily zone etc, silver lining is at least they want to be around the game and can learn something (maybe ๐)
Itโs that time of year again! My goal for the next generation is to make sure that they fully understand how to play the gameโฆ Working cover 2, high low concepts hereโฆ Chasing Greatness!!

@CoachTManes 1 out of every X number of fitters chance per play to be incorrect, multiply that thru 50+ plays oh boy. Also goes for offense on blocking assignments though, just as likely to bust/miss
@arod_da_vintage@CoachDanCasey No surprise, itโs all we do. Have many kinds of kicks and placements. We charted previously an average return to ~32 yd ln, better field position sure, low risk of return (or TD) chance to steal a possession, great if your kicker canโt kick touchbacks
