@okNo54002277 They simulated it .. this is not comparable to how a cat works..

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 On paper a vegan diet for cats may include supplements or alternatives to animal-based protein but there is no guarantee that these would be bioavailable to the cat or that they wouldn’t interfere with the action of other nutrients.

@okNo54002277 Also I fail to see how the wet food that says it can be fed to dogs, puppies, cats and kittens can possibly meeting all their nutrional needs when they all have different requirements.

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 All the studies in your articals for soy digestablity are about dogs and not cats

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 Even if the cat can theoretically get everthing they need (which they aren't) , the vegan food can still cause anorexia which causes liver failure.

Cats have lost a number of metabolic pathways that omnivores use to metabolize plant-based food, you say it's safe but its scientifically proven they can't metabolize or digest it properly.

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 I just did, bioavaliablity is a thing

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 Soybean protein significantly decreases plasma taurine concentrations in cats by increasing the fecal excretion of bile acids and taurine, you asked for evidence I provided, it is in the artical.

The benovo dry foods first ingredient is soy ..

@okNo54002277 So actually look at the food your defending ....

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 The wet food is soy free ..

The first ingredient in the dry is soy

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 @bipitybopitydoo They are safe but they are not they same and cats lose most of the nutrients because they can't digest the plant proteins.

Their digestive track isn't designed for it.

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 @bipitybopitydoo The vegan cat foods are soy based, Dietary soybean protein significantly decreases plasma taurine concentrations in cats by increasing the fecal excretion of bile acids and taurine.

You can add all the shit you want but the cats bodies can't absorb it properly.

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 @bipitybopitydoo They are in the food but cats bodies don't react to them the same way the plant proteins can have lower overall digestibility and consistenc because cats bodies aren't design for it.

There are issues of anorexia as well which causes liver failure.

[WatchBat 🍉👑🎃👻 @watchbat]

Why do some dog owners feel the need to insult cats whenever they talk abt pets?
If you can acknowledge dogs can have different personalities why not cats? Why do some of them have to say that all cats are selfish, cruel &evil when they haven't seen a single cat in their lives 😒

[C @C98247290]

@okNo54002277 @bipitybopitydoo https://t.co/o410QIKwBP straight from a vegan website btw
