Let’s take a moment to celebrate the unsung heroes of our school. The JMB custodial staff is working endlessly to keep us all safe and sanitized. We appreciate each of you for all the extra work you are doing! #TheJMBway#EDLD510S21#ES5
Rounding out our first week with hybrid learning. The staff and students worked together to make this transition a great success! It feels good to see students walking the halls and sitting in classrooms⚓️ #TheJMBway#ES5#EDLD510S21
These kids are really shining during virtual learning, earning themselves the title of “students of the term.” Its amazing to see how each rise up to the challenge and persevere: cameras on, asking questions and engaging in class discussions! Keep it up Clippers! #ES5#EDLD510S21
A little celebration to end the day. JMB Math teachers are excited to finally be back together again! Love hearing all the great things these awesome people are doing for their students. #mathteachers#C1#EDLD510S21
Virtual learning won’t stop these geometry students! Using @Desmos to draw, notate and apply geometry vocabulary while teachers can see all student responses and give feedback to each student. #highschoolmath#C5#EDLD510S21
A3: In terms of assessment and choice, I believe leaving each test to open notes/resources is the extent of my flexibility. Interested in hearing what other methods are out there. #flipclasschat
A2: Virtual learning has allowed more flexibility for Ss to work at their pace that enables my version of flipped class, however this winter my school went to a more rigid schedule which has allowed for much less flexibility. #flipclasschat
A1: I have found that having Ss watch videos to learn concepts, and then I am able to have more flexibility with discussion and practice #flipclasschat
Hello #flipclasschat My name is Courtney Mazzarone. I am a high school math teacher from Maryland. I dabbled with flipped classrooms in my internship, and have been attempting it now with the pandemic. Interested in learning more. Sticking to healthy eating so far in 2021!
@WoCoEdChat A6: I think support looks like creating a safe space for teachers to speak their minds and allowing them to be apart of the solution. Also to allow it to be an open conversation that can induce change rather than just be one-sided. #WoCoEdChat#edld517edchat
