@ndkirschmann It’s the American Puritanical roots. It’s all about punishment. The need to know someone gets punished for their actions.
ProLife is about the sinner getting punished not about the child.
Justice system is about punishment not rehabilitation

@kcmunoz_ They still won’t believe it. These policies will have large negative effects on them, but in their minds it will be «The Government» doing it. They won’t connect that to the people they elected into office. It’s not rational but rational didn’t get us here.

@EODHappyCaptain And it was written by a guy who went through that experience in the worst way and developed whole new fantasy languages just to deal with it which resulted in those stories.
@Lizteratures 2 weeks ago the Norwegian government circulated pamphlets on emergency preparedness and recommended that everyone have iodine tablets. I’m told they do it periodically since the Ukraine war started but the timing didn’t feel like coincidence.
