Except for a few persons and business concerns, the majority who expressed their encounters with bribes in their import/export business requested that I not reveal it publicly, due to their continued presence in the market.

Unless people themselves want to come out, no one can be forced to disclose it.

Earlier corruption cases came out through CBI , Today all you have to do is join a particular cosmic orange party after doing corruption to mark yourself safe.

My timeline is filled with full of “My Customs Story”

Everyone knows how corrupted few officials are in India but it really takes a lot of courage to speak against the system knowing it could greatly affect one’s business. @PrawinGaneshan did a great job 🫡, he not only triggered the whole nation to speak the real truth about Customs corruption, in fact many people across the world shared their worst experience.

It’s usually customs who give sleepless nights to common man, but this time a common man has given sleepless nights to entire custom officials and even made top ministers intervene to fix the problem.

The worse part of all of this - so many people on Twitter saying Prawin and his entire lineage is destroyed / "cooked" because he took on the Customs.

After reading countless stories of businessmen harassed or extorted by customs, one thing is clear: bureaucracy thrives on complexity.

Complex rules aren’t inefficiency, they are actually designed that way. Every ambiguity, overlapping clause, and poorly defined term becomes a tool for selective interpretation. The more confusing the system, the greater the control of those who made them, and the wider the opportunity for corruption.

Suppose you import an electronic device with batteries included in the box. Logically, it should be treated as one unit for duty. But the ambiguity allows an officer to claim the batteries fall under a different clause and attract separate duty. Since you assumed they were part of the device, you didn’t pay extra, now the officer seizes it and demands a bribe to release it.

Consider taxation, it's so complex that even trained accountants debate exemptions and credits. Property registration, licensing, fire or environmental clearances, rules are so tangled that a simple application can take months, repeated visits, and opaque “fees” that mysteriously smooth the process.

Shocking! Not a single central minister has spoken a word on MP’s Reservation mess or the massive corruption allegations on Customs. Silence everywhere. What a pathetic state of politics we are forced to live in, in India.
