A large police presence for an officer-involved shooting near Shadle Park High School in Spokane. One neighbor said she heard 10 to 12 pops she thought were fireworks. An officer told her it was gunfire and to get back in her house.

The neighbor said the most alarming part was seeing high school track and field athletes being escorted off the field, near where the shooting happened, by their coaches. “My heart was in my throat when I saw the coaches rushing them off the field.”
