Incarcerated men from Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp were given the opportunity to participate in a group #baptism.
“It gave me a different perspective on life,” said Ceasar Garcia, incarcerated YOP fire fighter. “I felt it cleansed me and gave me a sense of purpose.”

The Investigative Services Unit at Mule Creek State Prison is disrupting crime and intercepting dangerous contraband to keep institutions safe. MCSP’s ISU has seized narcotics, weapons, and cellphones. Reduced contraband means fewer drug-related incidents and conflicts. #CDCR
Today, #CDCR announced the opening of the Media Center at the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. CDCR staff, program supporters, volunteers, and incarcerated individuals gathered to showcase innovative programs teaching podcasting, video production, and print media skills.
The 23rd cohort of the #CulinaryArts Program offered by @Cuesta_College and the California Men’s Colony graduated March 19. Individuals who completed the program spent the course working hands-on in a commercial kitchen, building culinary skills, and earning their ServSafe cert.
The Contra Costa Parole Unit conducted a countywide operation dubbed “The Eastbay Revival.” A total of 31 contacts were made with supervised individuals, resulting in 13 arrests. The individuals arrested were apprehended for various violations.

Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) hosted a correctional sergeant promotion ceremony, honoring the dedication and professional achievements of nine sergeants. The ceremony, with over 30 family and friends in attendance, celebrated the staff members. #CDCR#Leadership#PublicService
Hundreds of participants at Folsom State Prison (FSP) showed their support for local #GirlScouts through a #community cookie sale, totaling $18,235 in sales. 🍪The effort was organized by the Community Resources Office and the incarcerated activity group Men of Character.
CDCR staff all over the state participated in local #PolarPlunge events, supporting @SONorCal. The events brought together athletes, supporters, and public safety partners.
