how can i cool down my long bedroom with one window and a gap between the window and blackout blinds - or even better how can i stop it getting so hot? got it down to 25 overnight but 30 again this morning

question for the heat experts: why is my bedroom with the blackout blind closed way hotter than my living room with way more same way facing windows with curtains open? is it just that due to the balcony the living room windows get no direct sun?
