One other quick note. Positions still overweight $MU, $GOOGL, $TSM, $CSTM, $STX, $DELL. That is it folks. All other holdings are equal-weight or underweight. Hopefully this is just a brief flush and we can get back to this mini bull run. Technicals are giving me the Mutombo finger wag at the moment. Youngsters won't get the reference. =not good.
In regards to today's sell off. The rack elements of data centers were overbought and any excuse was needed to sell. The OPEN AI news is less relevant than what the hyperscalers have to say over the next two days during their earnings calls. The strategy is definitely entering a risk off mode. Interested to see the results of the next few days.
For the 1st time in 7 years I do not own physical metals after today. ( $PHYS, $PSLV) Reduced $TSM, $STX, $AVGO, $AMD, $CIEN, $MU, $DELL $SNEX, $AEM, $NEM, $IBIT. Increased short positions by 25% to 4% overall. Added some oil here with $APA. Also, dipped in to $UNH.
The market can certainly humble you.😀2nd day posting and we had our largest year to date drawdown of around 1.6%. Technicals forced a sizeable reduction in the picks and shovels of AI and increased our cash position to 20%. 10% I rolled into TBILLS.
Longs overweight, TBILLS 20% Cash 10%( $SGOV, $BIL, etc.) $MU, $AMZN. $TSM, $GOOGL, $DELL, $CSTM, Overweight is >4%. Equal-weight between 3 to 4%, $CIEN, $STX, $SNEX, $AMZN, $NVDA. Under-weight Less than 3% $AMD, $AVGO, $S, $GS, $CFX, $XOM, $PHYS, $PSLV, $CDE, $IBIT, $MRVL, $APP, $GEV, $AEM, $NEM. I update daily using stop loss/stop buys depending on RSI, MACD, resistance and support levels on charts covering one year time horizon & prices based on daily/weekly levels. Purchase based on fundamentals, adjust weighting with these technical indicators.
YTD return approximately 20%.
Current portfolio positions. Max 3% allocation to puts with the largest % of portfolio in any single position .50%. Names such as $DLTR, $TSLA, $NFLX, $BX, $RBLX, $LULU, $EWZ, $IWM, $IT, $UBER, $SNOW, $PLTR, $XHB, $WING, $FSLR, $TSLA, $CRWV. How many of these names you can hold and stay under .50% & 3% depends on your portfolio size. Also short $IGV, $Z, $W but will exit on upward price moves tomorrow.
