I don't count the value of my vehicles as an asset but each to their own I guess.

I count an emergency fund as an asset. Right now that cash in the bank is your emergency fund. It should be 6 months worth of your bills.

I do commend you making an effort to improve your position... but you need more than a couple grand as a safety net.

@elonmusk I always wonder how it behaves when encountered with a vehicle coming from the other way. I haven't seen a video in a setting like this which shows that. What does it do on a one car lane when encountering an opposing vehicle?
