This challenge coin was given to me by a general in Iraq as a token of thanks for my service as an interpreter. My father was killed because of my work. We had to flee because someone saw me without my face covering.

Before my grandmother returned to Rwanda, this picture captures the last moment I would ever see her again. There was a civil war between the Congo & Rwanda govt. We were affected b/c my family was originally from Rwanda, even though I was born in the Congo. #for #refugees #DRC

Since the 91' Eritrean independence, the revolution took over the govt and everything changed. There was no freedom of speech or movement. Now that FOR has helped me find better job opportunities, I am settled in Atlanta.
