New paper alert!! 🎉🎉Super excited to share our recent work. 😊😊😊 Here we introduce nanobody-thioesterase chimeras to specifically target protein palmitoylation. https://t.co/vvxuSecPBa
📣 Fully funded PhD Opportunity. My wonderful colleagues Prof Claire Hills (@Chillslincoln79) and Prof Paul Squires (@psquireslincoln) and I have a fully funded PhD position available in our team @UoLCardioRenal. Please see the details below 👇👇
📢 Fully Funded PhD Opportunity | University of Lincoln
Interested in cardiovascular research? Join the team @UoLCardioRenal@unilincoln to investigate how protein palmitoylation regulates cardiac function & contributes to heart failure. Led by Dr Caglar Gok, details 👇👩🔬👨🔬🫀
Excited to share our latest paper in @NatureCVR showing #diabetic#cardiomyopathy is driven by aberrant #immunometabolism. Enhancing Treg migratory capacity restores immune balance and improves 🫀 dysfunction- a promising new therapeutic direction in T2D!

Delighted to see our protocol paper published today in @DiabeticMed led by PhD student @jo_ward08@dmi_lincoln🧪👩🔬
We will explore how icosapent ethyl modulates macrophage-driven inflammation in patients with ASCVD ± T2D 🧬🧪
Results coming soon!

In this study, we generated and characterised a humanised GLP‑1R mouse model carrying the gain‑of‑function A316T variant using CRISPR/Cas9 knock‑in technology.
Our review is now out in JCI, where we discuss current evidence for the existence of GLP-1R–cAMP–PKA signalosomes at different subcellular locations, and the complexity of the GLP-1R spatiotemporal signaling architecture:
