Kenya recently launched the AI for Disability Project during the Connected Africa Summit 2026 in Nairobi — an initiative aimed at using artificial intelligence and assistive technology to improve accessibility and digital inclusion for persons with disabilities across the country.

The project brings together key partners including the @MoICTKenya, @KISEkenya1 and @HuaweiKenya to develop AI-driven solutions that can support learning, communication, employment, and independent living for persons with disabilities.

As conversations around technology and innovation continue to grow, initiatives like these highlight the importance of ensuring that accessibility is included from the very beginning — not added as an afterthought.

Through the A360 #BintiShupavu program, #PSKenya continues to strengthen the capacity of Community Health Promoters (#CHPs) in Homa Bay County to deliver youth-friendly, age-appropriate reproductive health information and referrals for adolescent girls and young women.

When Community Health Promoters are equipped with the right skills and youth-friendly approaches, they become trusted links between young people and the care they need.
