The puritans despised the quakers. You can look up the Boston martyrs. They also despised Baptists and separatists like Roger williams and ann Hutchinson

The Anglicans took on dissenters in the middle and southern colonies.

When the Anglican Church was legally established, requiring people's taxes to support it. Dissenters (Baptists, Presbyterians) faced persecution, including arrests for preaching without licenses.

The protestants despised catholics and catholics were widely discriminated against. In some areas, it was illegal to sell a catholic a gun.

Massachusetts bay colony even had mandatory church attendance.

And because of all these Colonial religious conflicts which was often centered on the struggle between established churches (Puritan, Anglican) and dissenting groups (Quakers, Baptists, Catholics). These tensions laid groundwork for later principles of religious freedom in the U.S. Constitution.

Where you are free to be any type of christan. Or follow any faith you choose or non at all.
