A witness reported that the attacker briefly confronted and said hostile remarks to the youth before opening fire unprovoked. CAIR-AZ is urging law enforcement to treat the attack seriously and investigate it as a possible hate crime.

In the early hours of March 7th, a group of Muslim youth and children were attacked at the Islamic Center of north Phoenix. A man fired multiple shots with a paintball/pellet gun toward the group of children and nearby vehicles before fleeing. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Alhamdulillah, we have an important update regarding SB 1443, the anti-mosque bill that would have effectively banned the Adhan (Muslim call to prayer) five times a day in Arizona.
Today, SB 1443 was killed.

During proceedings, Senator Hoffman held the bill, acknowledging that it was blatantly unconstitutional.
