Remember, no matter what happens today, the vote counting process is safe, secure and we should all have confidence in it.
People who cast doubt on the vote count are people who want to overturn the result, generally speaking.
GA voters:
Are you in inactive status?
No problem!
It won’t affect your eligibility to vote or your experience. As soon as you cast your ballot, you’ll automatically be returned to active voter status.
Please share and go vote!

Georgia voters:
Need to vote on the WEEKEND?
This weekend is your last chance!
Every GA county has voting tomorrow, Sat 10/26, and many have voting on Sunday 10/27 too including DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett.

Georgia's voting law reduced drop box availability, tightened absentee ballot application deadlines and added voter ID requirements, areas where election data show disparities between Black and white voters, according to an analysis by the AJC. #gapol https://t.co/aPVsCUOF5c
#BREAKING@Georgia_NAACP lawsuit filed against @GaSecofState for #SB189.
"Senate Bill 189 is an outrageous attack on the Black vote and the fundamental right to participate in our democracy. This law not only targets our most vulnerable communities but also seeks to silence the voices that demand change,” said Attorney Gerald Griggs, president of the Georgia NAACP.”
“We call for accountability: every eligible Georgian must have the opportunity to vote without fear of intimidation or unnecessary barriers. The power of the Black vote is undeniable, and we will not stand by while it is threatened."

Again in Georgia, we're seeing the anti-voting majority on the SEB belittle and speak over election officials, advancing costly, unclear, and time-consuming rules, with under 3 weeks until Early Voting - over the AUDIBLE objections of dozens of elections directors IN THE ROOM.
Here, an unelected board has made a financial decision that impacts Georgia counties, local budgets, and local taxpayers. If the GOP leadership doesn’t step in, then they are saying a board can make fiduciary decisions for counties. There is no fiscal note, no study on how this will affect local governments, many of which are already struggling. This is to sow distrust into an election. This is not fiscally conservative. It’s a reckless waste of taxpayer funds from the party claiming fiscal responsibility.
My grandmama always told me that when people show you who they are, you better believe them when they show you.
The election has started!
And Georgia’s State Election Board is… still creating new rules beyond their authority to change the way the election is run 🙃
Happening this AM:
The Georgia State Election Board will begin voting on a series of rule changes ahead of the 2024 election.
The Secretary of State's Office has called the timing "absurdity."

This should be required reading for every legislator in Georgia.
A wholly foreseeable tragedy.
Vote in Nov as if R legislators don’t understand female reproductive health. Because I guarantee you, not only do they not understand, they have no interest in learning. #gapol
I grew up in Madison County, so I can confirm when you have local officials in places like that complaining about SEB actions, you know these rules have really gone off the rails 😵💫
This is the same kind of rhetoric used by men who opposed enfranchising women in the early twentieth century: by giving women political power, men are inherently emasculated and related to domestic life.
(And, take note of the voting rights cat as an anti-women’s rights image.)
SB 63 would require cash bond for more than 30 offenses, including things like criminal trespass, and criminalizes bail funds. We need you to take action ASAP! https://t.co/f0JkSU7UiX
Judges have now found that Republicans in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida all used their redistricting power to discriminate against Black voters after the 2020 census
Incredibly proud of our clients @ame6th@apa1906NETwork + individual voters who stood up for fair maps in GA and won today. And very lucky to be part of the @ACLUofGA@ACLU@WilmerHale team who litigated this case. Special session begins 11/29– let’s get some fair maps!
VICTORY! A federal ct ruled Georgia’s state leg maps violate the VRA by minimizing Black voting power. This is a vital step to ensure Black voters can participate in GA’s political process on equal terms. @ACLU @ACLUofGA @WilmerHale https://t.co/B5LtVDWDZV
