Today on #OrangeShirtDay we discussed the impact that residential schools had, and are continuing to have, on indigenous people and communities. Discussion was facilitated through learning about Chanie Wenjack's story and The Secret Path. #nvsd44
After one full week you can really feel the classroom community coming together. Stds brainstormed a classroom agreement, jobs, and our responsibilities to lay down a positive foundation for the rest of the year.
We started our last week of school with Harry Potter day! Sorting hat ceremony, wand making, potions, care of magical creatures (van aquarium), and Quidditch were enjoyed by all 🧙 Thx @DMarining for lending me all of the decorations!
Check it out! Our caterpillars have developed to the chrysalis stage. TY to our awesome parent who donated the Painted Lady butterfly kit to our class 🦋
