@catmomshorthair @Megraptor This is why I intentionally got out of soil science. I physically cannot do the soil sampling, I have a bad back and arthritis. I can't camp. I have obligations to my cats and dog. And people sneered at me for it! So does a lot of ecology, really.

I have a horse, now! A horse all my own. More than the PhD or anything else I've had or done, tiny!me would be so over-the-top excited about that. I wished for a horse at every opportunity from the time I could make wishes until I bought Rocket.

@gradaigh_kh In a train riding group this week someone posted that a bunch of people over in Edgewood are claiming there's a black jaguar around. They've seen it with their own eyes!

I'm like, 100% positive it's either a dark puma or a large black housecat.
