JUDGE LOWERS BAIL FOR UNHOUSED MAN WHO LIVED NEAR RICHMOND DISTRICT GRADE SCHOOL. Defendant Joseph Adam Moore posted “free fentanyl 4 new users” sign.

Judge Vedia Puri reduced Moore’s bail from $35k to $10k and is considering a geographic stay-away order from the area.

Moore faces a misdemeanor battery charge after an altercation with a parent from the school, and a public nuisance charge. Moore is also now accused of violating probation from a restraining order that firefighters at Station 31 got against him.

Moore is a registered sex offender with a conviction from 20+ years ago for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 (she was 12) and for the statutory rape of a different 15-year-old girl. He received a 6-year state prison sentence.

Prosecutor Aaron Laycook cited “a public safety risk to the individual parent and harm to the community as a whole.”

Malika Wright-Brown is Moore’s court-appointed attorney who has represented him since 2012. She argued the court should release Moore on some type of supervision. Wright-Brown told me that she has cases in which the defendant committed far more violent and serious crimes, but was released pending trial.

She could not hold out any longer! Progressives talk about helping the everyday poor; my client met all the criteria of being average Joe, so radical extremists on the City Council destroyed the generational wealth she could leave behind. Stop blaming Trump, Stop Lying to people. Govt in Oakland is taking property from people! Where are the Barbara Lee's? Black political leaders have sold you out, black people; wake up! Non-profits are fleecing black owners in crazy numbers in Oakland; that's the new gentrification.
