I followed the rig to Safeway, where that man hopped out of the rig and continued. I took a photo of his plate and with the sun going down, knew I needed to get home. The flyers turned up at other locations as well. So upsetting to see blatant Islamophobia happen here.

Last night, in the Target parking lot, someone had left an Islamophobic flyer on my car + several cars around me. After I gathered what it was, I looked around, and saw a man with a clutch of flyers. He disappeared into the cars, and shortly after I saw a truck with a camper exit

There are days when I know it’s likely that I may need to lean on the bystander intervention training I took, and I remain so grateful to @Rachael_With2As for making that happen. So useful, practical, and important knowledge to have.

@hankgreen Gift certificates for healthy dinners. An old fashioned electric blanket (the end of chemo bone pain is a doozy). Gentle, recurrent check ins. A pretty, dressed up gift basket of goodies. (I couldn't eat them, but gazing upon them cheered me up for some reason).

I still don't understand how this is a thing, outside of that they're delicious and we grow tons of them. Perhaps it is my Willamette Valley bias, but green beans seem to make more sense, or swiss chard, kale, the like. Part of me wonders if it is just a big FU to Idaho. 🤣

My great Aunt Betty (was Sister Mary Alban BVM to the public), technically left her order when called back to Iowa; she chose to stay and care for folks in San Francisco in the 80s/90s. I've got to think she would find the pearl clutching here very contrary to her vocation.

I only opened Twitter to peep fat kid deals, to see if they had a lead on a cheap replacement iPhone for erin. now I have on the way a case of smart pop, subscriptions for Doritos and Gatorade, 5 cases of Capri Sun, 3 boxes of pens, and Lord knows what else (but no iPhone).

An odd thing today: wristbands for pool users at the Y. It was because there were many non-members flitting about the facility for a basketball tournament. I chuckled to myself; thought it was pretty overboard.

Wrapped up my pool time and moved to the spa. Lo and behold, two women in full jewelry and heavy makeup were sitting across from me. They were very fit-looking, so I was surprised to see them in tee shirts. Maybe just modest?
