Sad that politics defines the human world.

@jeremyphoward A deeply flawed way to rate popularity. Participation and tv viewing have to weigh in. Football is a world game, we follow teams and leagues all over the world.
@wally_waldo83@ChrisNoble76@3AWNeilMitchell That analogy makes no sense whatsoever. It also ignores the long term patterns shown not only in votingbut decision making in workplaces and community.
What generation are you?
@wally_waldo83@ChrisNoble76@3AWNeilMitchell Again, you're ignoring that this is supposed to be a democracy. The voting habits of Boomers dominated Australian politics for decades and the results are plain to see. As a block, the boomer generation voted incredibly selfishly and with disregard for future generations
@wally_waldo83@ChrisNoble76@3AWNeilMitchell I do. But the balance of voting power is undeniable and the boomers voted for nation building when it suited them, and votedbto sell off when it suited them. As a block, it is clear, they voted for self interest which has amounted to intergenerational theft. 1/2
@wally_waldo83@ChrisNoble76@3AWNeilMitchell Or, you can realise we live in a democracy and the voting group made the choices. The boomers voting group very strongly steered us to this current situation alongside their decisions in management and educational leadership. Yes, good has been done, but the bottom line remains.
@wally_waldo83@ChrisNoble76@3AWNeilMitchell That's very rose coloured. Australia had industry and was largely self sufficient. When the boomers finally took the reigns, industry was swapped for neoliberalism. Our econemy was gouged out in exchange for short term funds. We need to rebuild this nation.
@3AWNeilMitchell Built this nation? We are a banana republic. Our economy is absolutely immature. We produce very little but raw commodities. The boomers actively shut down core industries and removed our homes from being a dignified part of life, to being a way of transferring wealth to the rich
@amelia_squealia I disagree with the comparison to the USA name. The fact is, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tuvalu, Cook Islands etc use a form of the British Blue Ensign. Our flags belong to another nation. It is an absolute disgrace.
