I had a lovely time this past week hosting a poetry night in aid of Mind in Furness at Barrow Underground Music Society. Thrilled with the spoken word scene that’s growing in my hometown.

I stole one of my nan's poems for a Lord Mayor's competition in the early 90s. It won and is still on display in the town hall. She never said a word. She's left me the fucking poem in her will and I had to explain why to my mum.

I had a lovely spooky time earlier this month sharing some stories at By (Electric) Candlelight with @BarrowFull and @obscuratheatre_ - I even got to sit in the big boys chair! (King of the castle, king of the castle)
