nobody has truly solved the connection from attendance of concerts+sports+more to digital.
when i grew up, i kept a shoebox of my mets tickets (funny to think how worthless). i thought verified attendance on the blockchain might hit.
one of my first projects out of college was @espn passport. i truly didn't appreciate how cool it was at the time that @williamfleitch was blowing up my inbox with feature requests. sadly we pivoted it to a "check in while watching the game act" and the team knew at that very moment, it was cooked.
i've watched many iterations of this launch since- @call_me_PRC took the torch with @sportspassport. it was cool to see @TickPick acquire @ACMomento today to team up to try to attack this market.
i've been a fan of what cole has been building
@joinseatclub for a couple of years and recently had lunch with a friend working on @nugsnet who are thinking about this problem too.
no brand has truly cracked this nut yet and i'd still love to see it. gl to all those still cooking.
NEWS: We’ve made an acquisition 🚨
When TickPick launched in 2012, the goal was simple:
Save customers money on hidden fees and bring transparency to an industry that needed it.
Since then, we’ve saved customers more than $250 million in service fees.
But beyond that, we want to create the best possible experience around the events people love.
That’s why we’ve acquired @ACMomento, a mobile app that lets fans capture, share, and relive live event experiences.
Think of it as a digital scrapbook, turning your tickets into ‘Momentos’ you can collect and share with friends and family – bringing back the nostalgia of saving a ticket stub after a show or big game.
Nearly 20 million tickets have already been turned into Momentos on the app.
If you’ve contributed to that number, there’s a lot to get excited about.
If you haven’t yet, we're confident you’re going to love this.
The game-used ball that Kobe and Shaq clinched the 2000 NBA Finals with -- their first title -- sold at @Sothebys for $508,000 last night.
Unreal piece of history signed by 12 Lakers, including the two icons.
SLAM didn’t act like traditional media — nor did it want to be.
It was part of a culture shift that personified a time when the NBA was changing.
And now, the outcasts are heading to the Hall of Fame.

The SLAM 30th Anniversary Exhibit at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame 😍
The exhibit showcases every SLAM cover ever, a timeline of crucial moments through SLAM's 30 years, some key stats to reflect SLAM's global influence and more. It coincides with SLAM and its founder Dennis Page receiving the Curt Gowdy Media Award from the Hall this fall.
The exhibit is live at the Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, through the end of the year — go check it out. 📜
