Dr oluwadamilare Akingbade @Callednurse
@Thefawoleisrael Well, if you think so. I once met a PhD student in public health at a leading global university who did not know that a PhD in Nursing existed. I encounter this misconception often, but I have always expected nurses to know better.
I thought it was only the general public that needed orientation on what a PhD in Nursing is all about. It seems some nurses could benefit from that orientation too.
A PhD in Nursing is one of the most rigorous academic and research training pathways, requiring years of advanced coursework, original research, scientific publications, and a dissertation that contributes new knowledge to healthcare.
PhD-prepared nurses conduct research, generate evidence, influence health policy, secure grants, develop healthcare innovations, educate future nurses, mentor researchers, and improve patient outcomes. They also serve as professors, scientists, policy advisors, consultants, entrepreneurs, and leaders across academia, healthcare, government, and industry. Heading a nursing department is just one of many possible roles.

You Have Changed. Everything Else Will Follow.
One of the final thoughts I shared during the Nursiscope Career Bootcamp 1.0 was this:
Everything around you may not have changed, but YOU have.
Growth is the one thing that can never be taken from you. If you are learning, improving, building new skills, and expanding your capacity, then you are already moving toward your next level.
There will be seasons when the opportunities haven't arrived, the promotion hasn't come, and the results are not yet visible. Keep growing anyway.
Because when you change, your future cannot remain the same.
The world may take time to respond to your growth, but it eventually will.
Keep becoming. Keep improving. Keep evolving.
Your breakthrough is often waiting for the person you are becoming.
