@stentordoc@GetRunningCoach I check it every so often now. It used to be low (160’s) when I was in undergrad and I had nagging injuries then. This seems to work for me. Can it be too high?
@BradRunsFar That’s exciting! I hope your training goes well! I am going to do a couple local races- maybe a 10k and then a Turkey Trot. Probably nothing in December or January, but I am doing the Austin Half Marathon in February. I’m hoping to go under 1:22, but will see how training goes.
Joan Benoit Samuelson will run the @ChiMarathon on Oct. 7.
At 61 years old, she has her sights set on breaking the 60 to 64 age group record of 3:01:30.
She won the race in 1985 and reflected about it when we chatted in 2015.
