Sorry B3LYP, ωB97X-D is my new favorite functional. Been using ORCA for a bit and just fell in love with ωB97X-D4 vs B3LYP-gd3bj for optimization and NMR calculations. Despite the cost it's just superior in my opinion. I love the results so far.

ORCA has been a lifesaver for calculating larger molecules with heavy atoms vs Gaussian, loving the processing speed so far. Going to try DIRAC next to refine relativistic effects for some species.

Got to be the NMR (more specifically MRI) sample today for a pretty cool scan. I love relaxing inside the magnet, hearing the sequence and of course seeing the images afterwards. To me, it's so cool being inside what I spent my entire gradschool career studying and using.

One of the hardest things about needing a wheelchair is the inability to be out in nature the way I want to be. I miss starry skies, the sounds of nature, feeling the dirt under my feet and gosh the water! I just want to return to where I belong. I feel like an animal in a cage..
