Amazing thread from Tinu giving support to Claudia Alick whose account has been shut down. She will be doing a takeover of the Calling Up Justice account until hers is reinstated.
This is the tweet a disabled Black woman, @claudiaalick , was cut off from our #DisabledBlackTalk community for-
she can't even log in & participate in peer counseling or support!
Not even DMs.
This is infuriating. This was never about plagiarism or anti-semitism. It was about anti-Blackness and humbling Black leaders who don’t show up in ways others feel necessary. This is not surprising. https://t.co/vYIwIiWOKz
Let’s be real. This is an extension of what happened to me at UNC, and it is a glimpse into the future to come. Academic freedom is under attack. Racial justice programs are under attack. Black women will be made to pay. Our so-called allies too often lack any real courage.
I understand why people in the film industry are pushing for the art of films that were made to be seen in a large theater space. The experience of watching a film in a theatrical venue is unique and valuable. It is silly to suggest that this is the ideal for all
Instead of writing my end-of-the-year reports, I am making cool animations of beautiful black women. I hope that the folks don’t mind receiving these animations instead of spreadsheets with numbers in them.
Professional is often used as a label to indicate that you do not deserve resources to create the work. I like to decouple the idea of professionalism from capitalism.

This story is so chilling. And where is the Black professional class which gained so much from her activism? I call them to the mat b/c they were the ones who benefitted THE most from front-line ppl risking their lives. Where are they? https://t.co/rH9wFCgLFd
MOST nonwhite kids attend schools that receive fewer funds, resources & even BOOKS. Wealthy kids get SAT prep & white legacies
are often exempted from admissions standards. But white people get to define “meritocracy”…
So these things are NOT considered “affirmative action”
News at 11. United States still a white dominant supremacy culture. Newspapers report as if this is news that property owned by Black people is literally valued less. Also we’re still being murdered by officers of the state and can’t teach anti-racism in schools
