This Government created non-existent problem through witholding payments due for contractors. After the whole system had created suffering and people's nerves had been weakened, they'd tactically start disbursing those funds and make it a success point to themselves.
We've never had such clowns at helm since the return of democracy in fourth Republic like these ones. 🤡
In 2021, as chairman Senate committee on works, Senator Kabiru Gaya advised president Buhari to solely award the Kano-Kaduna-Abuja road to Julius Berger construction company. His insistence was out of wisdom, that JB is known for high standards and will build a road that can last 50 years. God bless Kabiru Gaya for that, now that Infiouest Nigeria LTD has completed the 39kms abandoned by JB, we know the difference.
The Zaria-Kano portion of the road constructed by Infiouest has already started twisting, collapsing and even having small craters within three months after completion. The road will not last one year from all indication. Presently from Makarfi to Kwanan Dangora, thr road needs urgent maintenance. If in doubt please take a trip to the road.
The road also has a very huge crater immediately after Kwanar Dawaki before 7up. That road is not more than 30 days old. This is truly sad and I feel pained. This unknown company Infiouest was mentioned by Senator Adams Oshimhole as a furniture company. It is like the owners made the name in a manner that no one can even pronounce it.
This makes Nigerian corruption quite different from the rest of the world. While in a place like Indonesia, politicians will inflate contract, but execute the job to the highest possible standards, Nigerian politicians will virtually steal 90% of the money and build something that will not last more than one year. A road that will not last one year is as good as useless.
From Aliyu Nuhu
In less than 24hrs of my arrival the Consuls-General under my Mission who are presiding Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Shanghai, respectively, briefed me in details today. It was a marathon brief that took about 4 hours. We had extensive interaction on almost every issue, diplomatic, trade, consular, technology, and welfare of Nigerians. We will continue to have such meetings to be on same page always.
Now let me serious , just last week Pantami was complaining that primaries were not conducted and Jamilu Gwamna was elected as APC candidate.
Now Pantami himself moved to PDP and was placed above others that bought form and aspiring without any primary election.
Is this right
@HAHayatu@UsmanRashidaObu Why should he? Is he a public official? Why don’t you demand UBEC state their relationship. We northerners are envious creatures.
This has to be the most shameless government in Nigeria’s history.
About three weeks ago, the leadership of the PRP, led by its National Chairman, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the ADC. A few days later, rumours began to circulate that the coalition leadership was considering the PRP as an option. Although this is not true, it took only that single whiff of speculation for a faction to emerge almost overnight in what had been a historically tranquil political party, challenging the leadership of Baba-Ahmed.
This is the reality of Nigeria’s shrinking democratic space under the All Progressives Congress. The government may continue to deny any involvement in the crises within other parties, insisting that these are merely internal failures, but the pattern is visible. The world can see what is happening. More importantly, they can see where this path leads.
But here is the question: is there no one within the APC who can caution those engineering crises in opposition parties that they are, in fact, sowing the seeds of national instability?
A political strategy that is anchored on sabotaging every opposition platform is ultimately self-destructive. When people are left with no options, they are, in reality, left with no choice.
🇳🇬 EXPOSED: Insider Report on Why Tinubu Sacked Wale Edun After “Telling Too Much Truth”
The removal of Wale Edun as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, was the final step in a process that had been building for months inside government, driven by fiscal strain and a steady erosion of his authority.
According to insiders familiar with the decision, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the move through a memo issued by SGF George Akume, officially describing it as a move “to strengthen cohesion, synergy and ensure more impactful delivery on the economy.” Edun was directed to hand over to Taiwo Oyedele, with a deadline of April 23, 2026.
Behind that official line, the facts he presented publicly had already set the tone.
During the December 2025 MTEF and Fiscal Strategy Paper defence, Edun told lawmakers that while the Federal Government projected ₦40.8 trillion, “the actual trajectory suggests about ₦10.7 trillion,” confirming a revenue gap of roughly ₦30 trillion.
He attributed this to underperformance across both oil and non oil revenues.
He was equally direct on spending. Edun confirmed that “only about 30 percent of the 2025 capital budget has been funded,” adding that the remaining “will be rolled over into 2026” as part of efforts to end the cycle of overlapping budgets and return to a January to December fiscal framework.
On projections, his warning was clear. Nigeria must move toward “more realistic revenue assumptions,” after repeated shortfalls in 2024 and 2025 exposed weaknesses in fiscal planning.
By December 2025, actions inside government had already followed. Key financial responsibilities including revenue generation, cash management, debt oversight, and payments were reassigned within the ministry, effectively stripping Edun of core control functions.
At the same time, pressure intensified around the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, with the Senate Public Accounts Committee probing audit discrepancies from 2017 to 2023 running into trillions of naira and setting a deadline for explanations.
These are matters drawn directly from official briefings, legislative records, and government actions.
In the same reshuffle, Ahmed Dangiwa was also removed as Minister of Housing.
Edun’s replacement with Taiwo Oyedele signals a shift toward tighter revenue mobilisation and fiscal coordination as the administration seeks to stabilise its finances.
Insiders say the sequence is clear and consistent. He presented the numbers, acknowledged the gaps, called for realism, lost key powers, and was eventually removed.
That is the record.
