Fernando Cifuentes was invited to the presidential palace by the president, to be honored for his win at worlds.
The other 9 chilean players that made day 2 were invited as well.

I dont know if this has ever happened before with a Pokemon world champion.

My #PokemonWorlds flight home was plagued with what seemed like sinus issues. Got home about 4 hours ago, 100.2 F low-grade fever. Not done COVID test, likely sinusitis. The timing means someone at the hotel or Worlds venue was sick.
