You can never be too safe or prepared in the case of an emergency. Familiarize yourself with the Cal Poly safety plans.
Students should keep essentials like water, non-perishable food, flashlights, warm clothing, medications, and some cash on hand. Phone and power outages may occur, so it’s important to plan alternative communication and transportation methods (keeping gas tanks half full).

🧯😷 Safety Tip! If caught in smoke, drop to your hands and knees and crawl as you exit. Hold your breath as long as possible. Breathe shallowly through your nose and use clothing as a filter.
