Christine Davis Consultants is looking to add members to their fall field crew. They are also looking for a cultural resource manager for office work (dealing with collections, report writing, etc.). If you are interested contact Brandon Davis and send a resume/qualifications.
Archaeology has acquired several new tools for helping identify, map, measure and assess archaeological sites and associated material remains. Workshop presentations will discuss the technologies being used in archaeological research and provide examples of application.
Most projects are typically a week long and most likely will include travel to West Virginia and Ohio. Pay varies, but they cover hotel expenses and provide a per diem.

Ben Demchak, one of our alumni, is a field director for the Pittsburgh Office of SWCA, which does CRM/archaeological field work. They are looking to get some part-timers on file to pull in as needed on projects. Current students who have had field school may also be considered.

Monday night the American Democracy Project hosted guest speaker Jon Delano (KDKA-TV "Money & Politics" editor) as part of their Constitution Day activities. Mr. Delano discussed how Pennsylvania voters can make a difference in the next election.

Memories of the Homefront Forum
Dr. Charles Stacey will moderate a forum of Americans who lived through WWII on the homefront to share memories, discuss civilian wartime efforts, and take audience questions.

Dr. David Lonich, retired teacher and former Cal U adjunct professor, will discuss impacts of World War II on American society and ways the โhomefrontโ mobilized for total war.
