Calyos did not repay US backers their full pledge amount 8 years after the failed kickstarter and when called out their CEO Antoine de Ryckel refused to pay after Calyos founder was called a scumbag. Calyos never misses an opportunity to do the wrong thing.

Based on what I’m hearing on the bids for 23andMe, I think it makes most sense for customers to download their data first, then delete their accounts. Some of the more reputable bidders are deciding to drop out, given all the challenges 23andMe faces. In the future, there may be great options to upload your SNP data file to other platforms offering comprehensive analyses.

@FanlessTech @soliton100 You should do a story on the Calyos Debacle, they defrauded an hundreds of people through kickstarter and the later direct pre order sales on their site for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Lots of lies along the way and radio silence for a year. Their CEO just got replaced.
