Today marks 7 years of legal cannabis in Canada! 🥳🇨🇦🌱
The Cannabis Act took effect on 17 October 2018 and made Canada the second country in the world, after Uruguay, to formally legalize the cultivation, possession, acquisition, and consumption of cannabis and its by-products. Canada was the first G7 and G20 nation to do so.

@drowbb The funny thing about Al Bundy was how he hated selling women’s shoes but like…it’s not the job he was assigned—it was the job he applied and interviewed for. How did he end up there? I would like to see THAT episode.
People who can't move on from the "legacy" days remind me of Al Bundy talking about four touchdowns in a single game while playing for Polk High School in the 1966 city championship against Andrew Johnson High.
Shame on @TheTorontoSun for posting this article about teens using cannabis vapes referencing an American study about nicotine vapes that doesn’t mention cannabis or cannabinoids even once. https://t.co/kTaPhI6Wzz
@chugglesworth@drowbb I’m a woman. I would not fare well under a conservative government with some guy my age who is less qualified than I am to be PM.
@KBell1776@guldberg_adam@krassenstein@_SamStClair_ DEI doesn’t mean people are competing without merit and just getting the job by virtue of their identity. It ensures all qualified candidates are considered and included. Diversity fosters innovation. I’d rather an excellent black woman be my surgeon over a mediocre white man.
While tariffs on goods entering the US do not have a direct impact on the Canadian cannabis industry, knocking down interprovincial trade barriers could be a fantastic and welcome opportunity for the sector 🇨🇦 https://t.co/xs4LZaHWam #cdnpoli
I’m making a move to highlight which brands and products are American affiliated and which brands are wholly Canadian (no foreign investment or American investment). So far the best I’ve found for American products is this graphic, are there more we can think of?

@RocInvests@rincerwind@dunncannabis No, the threshold for the graphic is American investment or ownership or licensing.
Your individual interest in this context is only relevant if you’re American.
@drennan10@rincerwind@dunncannabis Making information available isn’t vilifying anything. People want to know where their money is going.
I’m not in the habit of lying by omission.
@rincerwind@dunncannabis I didn’t say they control it. It is what it is. Part of going public is investors from anywhere. That doesn’t mean it should be swept under the rug.
