He wept when entering Jerusalem because He knew that it was finally time that the sting of death and victory of the grave would be defeated for the salvific unity of mankind. What a savior, one who publicly leaned into his humanity even while on divine mission.
Jesus went to Bethany where Lazarus had died and wept, then Jesus say Jerusalem and wept. He Wept w/ Lazarus because he knew Lazarus resurrected didn’t defeat death as he was a living corpse that would die again.
Don’t think that just because you went to seminary and got a MDIV that your going to graduate and have a church (esp.Baptist Context). So many moving factors and political choices!

It is suspicious of people to claim an intimate relationship with God yet intentionally walk in darkness. God is eternally light and consistent as darkness has no fellowship with light!
