1) If this government decides that they are going to kowtow to China by going over there and begging them to trade I have to tell you that they can think again. I make no bones about this: I will not let it rest if we start now, amid all the evidence of genocide, brutality...
What a fantastic Conference!
We’re getting on with the job to deliver the people’s priorities.
We will seize this moment and together we will #BuildBackBetter.
The EU has just 6% of the World’s population, 16% of its GDP but a mighty 40% of its welfare spending.....& it can’t even implement a public vaccination programme! People are dying because of EU incompetence & appallingly bad national leadership.
In this country we are free to peacefully follow, preach or query any religion or none.
These are hard-won freedoms that must be upheld by all public institutions. Reports of intimidation in Batley set a deeply unsettling and potentially dangerous precedent.
The Santander Trade Barometer reports that Business Confidence is at its highest level since 2018. 65% of firms said they are confident about growth prospects. Now did we hear that on the BBC? Nah! Go UK!!

Sturgeon gives away “thank you” payments & one-off Christmas bungs...with other people’s money! Can we see the figures please? Is this out of the annual cash from London to Scotland or is it new money....coughed up by the English? And then she asks that the payments aren’t taxed!
So she takes the credit for spending someone else’s money then positions the payer as mean in treating it in the same way as all other payments in all the UK. Unbelievable! Actually, sadly too believable.
We give £72m pa “for infrastructure, transport & clean energy” to India; that’s right, India which is a nuclear power, has held a F1 Grand Prix & has a space programme!! Why should our taxes give money to a Country which ranks the welfare of its people so low?
Very happy to join the anti-puppy smuggling taskforce to try to stop #puppysmuggling. I look forward to working closely with the @DogsTrust on this important issue.
We have just published the latest 6-monthly report on Hong Kong covering the period where Beijing imposed its new National Security Law on #HongKong and its chilling effects. The people of Hong Kong must be able to exercise fundamental rights & freedoms. https://t.co/b83mqhyEPD
Unbelievable! Sainsbury trousers £230m from the taxpayer in Business Rates Relief cos of Covid, then gives the same amount to shareholders in a Special Dividend, whilst making 3000 staff redundant & seeing their underlying profits rise by 26%.
1. Interesting report from German insurance company Allianz showing a no deal Brexit would cost EU countries €33bn in exports. Germany would be hit the hardest with an €8.2bn loss, followed by the Netherlands and France. https://t.co/3bAM7vuntO
It was also an honour to pay tribute to the 80,000 British soldiers who fought for the freedom of the Korean people, including the 1,108 who lost their lives. In this 70th anniversary year, we must ensure that this bloody conflict does not truly become a forgotten war.
Our broken asylum system is enabling an international criminal trade to disregard the most vulnerable - elbowing women & children in need to the side.
I will not be complicit in that.
I will introduce a new system that is firm & fair - the biggest overhaul in decades.
