Today we begin our dive into the F-5 variants with the legendary T-38 Talon!

The Northrop T-38 Talon was the world’s first supersonic jet trainer, and it’s still in service more than 60 years later. Even wilder, NASA uses T-38s as astronaut proficiency jets, meaning many astronauts fly a 1960s-era trainer to stay sharp before heading to space.
