Running marathons for me..
isn’t about community. It’s my meditation.
It’s not about being fast. It’s about going at my pace.
I just want to run around the world. Be so prepared that I’m not hurting after and I can go have a celebratory drink and meal with whoever’s with me.
During covid I started running everyday.
After some time I started waking up and with a dull ache in my achilles
I thought I could just rest and it would go away
But nope… I had to be more proactive

It’s been about 3 years since the. and I’m entering my 3rd marathon and I’ve continued to hoop as a 32 year old father of 2 with less than adequate sleep.
I wasn’t going to let my age, or circumstances be an excuse for me to walk away (or limp away) from what I love to do.
