Passed the Assembly today with unanimous support: My and Sen. Kavanagh's bill establishing a pilot program with @NYSERDA to fund residents' home weatherization and energy upgrades.
The goals? Save people money and ease access to better insulation and climate control measures. 🌎
Always a good Friday when Liam and I get to hang out with a winning rugby team.
We just helped celebrate the national champs of @SBURugby, presenting them with a resolution that this former rugby player and coach was delighted to co-sponsor.
Pics from @KenTonAthletics' Bike Rodeo tonight! My office was eager to help, providing staff support, tote bags for families' goodies – and lots of helmets, which were a donation from our friends @Kiwanis of Ken-Ton.
Another great team effort to keep our kids safe and healthy.
This Police Memorial Day, New Yorkers gathered at the State Police Officers Memorial in Albany to honor those we've lost in the line of duty and to 9/11-related illnesses.
Fifty-six fallen heroes have been added to the wall since last year, bringing the total to 1,964 names. 💙
✔️ Just passed the Assembly: My bill requiring e-bike manufacturers to equip the vehicles with head- and tail lights before they're sold or leased in NYS.
This puts the onus on bike producers and sellers, with the aim of keeping riders and others safer, especially at night.
Tonight’s River Road Volunteer Fire Co. #3 installation was, as always, a beautiful occasion. It was also Joe Emminger’s final public event as Town Supervisor, making the evening extra special.
Wishing our firefighters safety and solidarity throughout the year ahead.
This morning I had the honor of addressing @ECASBnews at their legislative breakfast. We discussed the latest in Foundation Aid news, NY's teacher recruitment plans, my ongoing fight for BOCES support, student mental health, advocacy tips, and more.
An energizing event, always.
Happy #EarthDay, a bit ahead of schedule! As is our tradition, my team and I joined @TonawandaYPR’s annual Lincoln Park and Rails to Trails cleanup, doing our best to help out our beautiful little corner of the globe. Thanks for being there, everyone!
Reminder for April 11! Thanks to Buffalo Computer Recycling and Rotary of the Tonawandas for welcoming me, City of Tonawanda Mayor Bill Strassburg, and Sen. Jeremy Zellner to co-sponsor.
These e-waste recycling drives are always in demand.

All across WNY, we're fortunate to see in action the great work of Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper.
Their expert advocacy and hands-on efforts to protect our water resources never fail to inspire and impress me. Thank you, Jill Jedlicka and Kerrie Gallo for our meeting today.
